(First posted on Mon., June 15. 2009. Based on closing prices of Fri., June 12, 2009.)

US Airways Group, 7.25 of 2014

Breaking news - September 15, 2009
US Airways lands on a bullish note
Update   .
As a result US Airways scored its fifth and final goal today on the upside locking in a profit of
$2378.17 per plan. The annualized percentage profit rises to a very respectable
annualized 104 %.

US Airlines scored our long term goal of $4,34, and then on to an exciting day high of $4.45.

The total profit is 102% annually. This has been adjusted for the reduced premium in dollars
of the convertible bond. The accumulated interest on the bond is not added here.

This is the kind of  turbulence we Profit-Taker Gamers love.

O.K. partner, then what's our next step?

Please Note Well:

In the beginning on June 15, 2009...

We bought 40 bonds. CALCULATION: $30,000 ($15,000 of which is margin)divided by
$758.60 (price of a convertible bond) = 40 bonds.

Total investment = $30344.00

We start our plan as a half-hedge. That is, we sell short half the shares represented by our 40
bonds which equals a total of 4376 shares sold short.

CALCULATION: 40 bonds x 218.818 shares per bond = 8752.72 shares. So a half-hedge is ½
of 8752.72 or 4376 shares sold short.

Always sell short 1459 shares on each move to an upside sub goal. That is, 4376 shares sold
short, divided by the 3 upside sub goals = 1458.67.

Always cover ('buy in') 1459 shares on each move to a downside goal. That is, 4376 shares
sold short divided by the 3 downside sub goals = 1458.67.
